Who is responsible

Bro Media is responsible for the personal information described here. This policy covers people who visit this website and people who send us an enquiry. You can reach us at info@bromedia.co.za. Our postal address is 16 Big Bay Beach Club, Blouberg, 7441.

What we collect when you send an enquiry

The enquiry form asks for your name, your email address, an optional phone number, the type of project and your message.

When you send it, our web server also receives the IP address of your device. We include that address in the notification email we receive, to help us deal with abuse. To limit how many enquiries one source can send, the form handler counts them using a coded value instead of the address itself, and the web server's access logs record the address of each request.

The notification email reaches our mailbox, info@bromedia.co.za. We do not store enquiries anywhere else. We use what you send to reply to your enquiry, to understand what you need so that we can quote, and to keep a record in our mailbox.

Please do not send ID numbers, bank or card details or health information in the form.

Who processes it

• Our hosting company runs the web server, the form handler, the server logs and the mailbox that receives your enquiry. Its servers are in a South African data centre.
• Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics. Google may process analytics data outside South Africa.

Cookies and analytics

Until you choose Accept, this website sets no cookies and makes no request to Google or any other third party. Decline carries the same weight as Accept, and nothing loads if you decline. We keep your choice in your browser so that we do not ask again.

If you accept, we load Google Analytics. It measures page views, your approximate location and your device, and four events: a confirmed enquiry, and clicks on our email, phone and WhatsApp links.

You can change your choice at any time with "Analytics choices" in the footer of any page. If you decline after accepting, we stop sending analytics events and remove the Google Analytics cookies this website can see.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it and withdraw consent you have given. To ask, email info@bromedia.co.za.

You can also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy before we change what this website does with personal information, for example before we store enquiries or change our analytics.
